This is actually the demo version of “Unaware” by My Favorite Highway. In my opinion this version of the song is way better than the one on Anywhere But Here. I wish they kept it the same way, despite it’s length. I’m glad I got it back in 2005 (or was it 2006?) on Myspace when they made it downloadable.

I tend to like the less poppy songs by them better in general. Gosh, MFH was such a young band back then.

this is my favorite version of this song.

He has every right to hate the Winchesters. John was the reason he was killed in the first place and Sam and Dean were the reason he was thrown into the pit instead of staying in his heaven. I’d like to see him having latched on to Death when he retrieved Sam’s soul and showing up absolutely broken and completely insane. He could be a completely dark character, with a more personal attachment to Sam and Dean than other baddies, and his time in the pit would have turned him into a mix of Lucifer & Alastair: devious, ruthless, and crazy.

I’m not sure how I feel about this…

It is a fantastic idea, and entirely logical. And it would probably both be absolutely amazing and break my heart in to thousands of little pieces.
